Quick catch up with awesome RIF REVer Nicole Fels!

Tuesday, July 15, 2014
Hey RIFREVers,

When getting out and about to different running events I'm always so lucky to meet inspiring runners who are not only running for their own personal goals, but who are actively motivating and inspiring other runners. I recently caught up with Nicole Fels, an awesome RIFREVer who is very much involved in the running community.

Like many of us Nicole ran throughout school but stopped soon after. She got back into running after taking on a bet made by her brother, who bet that she couldn't run a half marathon! Fast-forward to a few years later and Nicole is now running half AND full marathons! Last year Nicole ran her first full marathon at the Sunshine Coast followed by the Boston Marathon this year and is looking forward to running the Melbourne Marathon later in the year.

Through her own personal running page Running GIRL, and as part of the running group the Flakers Nicole has been able to share her running story and also create a supportive community for both the seasoned and beginner runners.

"I just wanted to encourage people to run and give it a go. Especially to beginners to stick at it and be part of this great community."

Nicole is a runner helping runners and believes it doesn't matter what speed you're at the running community will always help each other out.

Catching up with inspiring RIF REVer Nicole Bunyon!

Tuesday, July 08, 2014
Hey RIF REVers,

It’s hard to believe Gold Coast Marathon is done and dusted, and I’m sure all RIF REVers will agree with me when I say it was an awesome weekend for the running community! We had a great time catching up with, and meeting so many RIF REVers, and it was even better to see the running community cheering on and supporting all runners across the finish line, even sharing a drink or two after!

After the marathon I got the chance to sit down and have a chat to Nicole Bunyon one of our many inspiring RIF REVers. Nicole heads up Running Mums Australia and just like us is a strong believer in creating support for all runners, and bringing the running community together. We think Nicole summed up the weekend, and the running community perfectly.

“The spirit of community today was amazing! I love this race, the [running] community everywhere out cheering, clapping and calling out your name. It’s fantastic, I love it!”

Check out our interview to hear her awesome story!

Big congratulations goes out to all GC runners, I hope you’re all recovering well!

Talk soon guys,

Paul
